Eric Bovim is a Managing Director at McBee Strategic, a Washington, D.C.-based public relations firm.
Bovim began his career as a foreign correspondent for Dow Jones Newswires in Madrid.

He also served as an on-air analyst for CNBC Europe, covering telecommunications and Internet stocks. He later joined the Reuters bureau in Madrid.

Bovim continues to engage in journalism and writing essays. His writing has appeared in Forbes, Fast Company, Salon, Venture Beat, The Boston Globe and The Wall Street Journal.

After co-founding Gibraltar Associates in 2007, Eric was named in 2008 one of the top “40 under 40” PR professionals in the United States.

Eric Bovim has counseled clients across an array of industries, including companies such as Google, Merck, Gilead Sciences, Dole Food Company, NASDAQ and private equity interests.

He has extensive experience in working with companies on international and high-stakes public affairs campaigns, crisis communications and special situations.

After leaving journalism in 2001, Eric served as communications director for U.S. Senator Conrad Burns (R-Montana). In 2002, he joined the DCI Group, one of the nation’s largest public affairs firms.

Eric lives in Virginia with his wife and three children. A native of the Washington area, he is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and holds a B.A. in English from the College of the Holy Cross.
