Dieter Schnaas

Dieter Schnaas is text chief and author for the German economic weekly “WirtschaftsWoche.”

He studied History, German Literature and Philosophy in Cologne, and took two years off to travel Australia, New Zealand, China, India and South-East Asia. Dieter also worked in Singapore and now lives in Berlin.

He is the author of the book “Cultural History of Money” and has written on the background to the financial market and sovereign debt crises. He writes a weekly column about politics in Berlin, international relations, current social issues and the philosophical background of economic questions.

He is a lover of contemporary art, literature and classical music and opera – particularly Wagner, Britten and Janacek.
